A dozen new Bees signed

Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club has confirmed no less than twelve new signings as they start their pre-season preparations for the 2010/11 Championship campaign.

Director of Rugby Russell Earnshaw has secured the signatures of no less than nine new forwards, spearheaded by two Tongans, prop Nglau Tau and backrow forward Semisi Taulava. The imposing Taulau, who was a classmate at school with Leo Halavatau, has made a big impact for National 2 Division side Worthing Raiders and is an exciting prospect. The veteran ex Doncaster Knights prop Tau cuts an imposing figure at 6ft tall and with a 24 inch collar size.

The front row has been further strengthened with the recruitment of prop Rob Dugard, who has been with the Bath Academy and most latterly Coventry and two hookers – Dan Oselton and Ben Gerry.
