Knights change five for Mosely

doncaster The Knights’ team to play at Moseley on Friday evening (KO 7.30pm) shows five changes from the team that beat Esher last Sunday. In the backs, Oli Goss returns at centre in place of Chris Briers and, on the wing, Andy Wright instead of Dougie Flockhart. In the pack, Steve Boden comes in for Steve Lawrie at hooker, Matt Challinor for Dom Parsons at lock and Zack Farivarz for the injured Ed Jackson in the back row.

The England test team to play New Zealand in the Investec Internationals on Saturday November 6 (kick off 2.30pm) will be named via the news wires at 12.00pm on Tuesday, November 2.

Knights team to play the Bees

doncaster The Doncaster Knight’s team to play the Bees this Saturday shows two changes from the side that lost at London Welsh last Saturday. In the backs Ollie Goss comes in at centre to replace Chris Briers who is still suffering from the after effects of the stomach bug that he picked up last weekend whilst, in the pack, Stuart Corsar is preferred to Dan Frazier at prop.

The continuing partnerships of Hallam and Roberts, Flockhart and Williams and Kenworthy and Challinor continue to provide stability and the Knights look to add consistency to their game.

Young Knights out to tame Warriors

doncaster With lock Glen Kenworthy and prop Stuart Corsar joining the Knights’ injury list, Director of Rugby Lynn Howells makes a number of changes to the side that narrowly lost to Bedford last weekend.
In the backs, Howells is able to keep faith with most of the backs who played against Bedford, the only exception being on the wing where Oli Goss, fit again after concussion, replaces Andy Wright. In the pack Matt Challinor, back after an ankle injury, comes in for Kenworthy whilst Irishman Shane Cahill replaces Corsar on the bench. In the back row, Howells gives a first start to 19 year old Chris Walker, last season’s England Under 18 captain, who they have on a dual registration agreement with Leeds. He comes in for Andy Boyde who replaces him on the bench. Also on the Knight’s bench is 21 year old scrum half Peter Jericevich, who is with them on a short term loan from Glasgow, covering for the injured Nathan Jones.

Guest and Smith start for Quins

After two thrilling games in the opening two matches of the new Aviva Premiership rugby season, Quins will be disappointed not to have turned such good performances into more points and head to face Sale tomorrow determined to get their first win on the board.

There are a number of changes to the starting line-up which faced Northampton Saints last Saturday at the Stoop.

With Ugo Monye sidelined  due to a toe injury, George Lowe moves to the wing and British Lions tourist and summer signing, Ollie Smith, makes his first competitive start for the London side.

Tom Guest will play in the number 8 shirt with the England number 8, Nick Easter, moving to the second row, a move which for this particular match, the Quins Director of Rugby has discussed with Martin Johnson. Ollie Kohn moves to the bench.

In the front row Matt Cairns and James Johnston, who have been sharing the workload with Chris Brooker and Mark Lambert, get the starting call-up.
