Bath look to make it three from three at Franklin’s Gardens

Bath Rugby travel to Franklin’s Gardens to face top of the table chasers Northampton Saints on Friday evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

Defence and Skills coach, Brad Davis, is looking forward to a tough encounter, and believes the team deserves the results they have had so far.

“It’s been a promising start and to get two wins out of two is testament to the hard work of the players. They have been two performances that showed a lot of character, and the guys should take full credit for that.

Warriors swoop for sevens star Cracknell

Worcester Warriors have announced the signing of England Sevens star Chris Cracknell until the end of the 2009/10 season. The highly-rated Windsor-born back row, recently on England Sevens duty in Dubai, will link up with his new team-mates at Sixways Stadium from Monday.

The 25-year-old has previously played at Bath Rugby, Exeter Chiefs, Cornish Pirates, Newbury and Harlequins.

A hugely gifted Sevens performer, Cracknell earned rave reviews just last week as he scored two tries as England were narrowly beaten in the IRB Dubai Sevens, where he played alongside new Worcester team-mate Jake Abbott.

Bath look forward to Irish try scoring challenge

Following a draw against Worcester Warriors last Friday night, Bath Rugby will be welcoming London Irish for their Movember match but with one thing in mind – to win.

Talking earlier today, Skills and Defence Coach Brad Davis is confident that with the hard graft the players have been putting in over recent weeks, the pay off is just around the corner.

“They have had a great week training so far. The players have shown excellent focus throughout and everything is in place to put in a strong performance against London Irish.
