Senior steps up recovery plans with Leeds Carnegie

Keith_Senior_LeedsFormer Great Britain Rugby League international Keith Senior, 36, is stepping up his return to full fitness after over a year on the sidelines by joining up with Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union side for pre-season training.

Senior had a knee reconstruction in 2011 and has not played since. He is currently a free agent after his proposed move to Welsh club Crusaders fell through when the side withdrew from Super League last season.

The centre, who was capped 33 times for Great Britain, originally played Rugby Union before a switch to Rugby League with Sheffield Eagles saw him become one of the greatest players in the modern era in the thirteen man game.
