London Scottish side to face Moseley

LONDON SCOTTISH lionLondon Scottish start their British & Irish Cup home campaign against Moseley this Saturday.

This weekend sees a number of London Scottish players make a return to the side after a week off last week against Gala and Director of Rugby Simon Amor is looking forward to a competitive game.

Simon Amor: “A few guys are coming back after a week off last week. It is always a fierce encounter between Moseley and ourselves and I am looking forward to a good contest.

I would like to welcome Ben Russell to the squad who starts on the bench.”

British and Irish Cup Team News: London Scottish v Gala

London Scottish start their British & Irish Cup campaign away to Gala this Saturday.

This weekend sees a number of London Scottish players make a return to the side after injury as Director of Rugby Simon Amor fields an experienced team to face Gala.

Simon Amor: “Some players who have played very well for us so far this season have played a lot of rugby and need time to recover. This weekend gives an opportunity for others but it is key we keep improving and progressing our team performance.

It is good to have Mark Irish, PJ Gidlow and Andy Reay making returns to the team, all senior players for us.”

Commenting on other injuries in the squad, Amor said: “Dan Mugford and Aaron Liffchak are hoping to be back fit in the next couple of weeks and available for selection.”

London Scottish Ready To Face Cornish Pirates

LONDON SCOTTISH lionLondon Scottish are looking to continue their encouraging home form against 2012 Championship finalists Cornish Pirates this Saturday.

Several changes in the back line see Joe Ajuwa make his first appearance for London Scottish, as well as a return to the starting line up for wing Miles Mantella.

In the pack, James Kellard come into the back row for Lewis Calder, whilst Tyler Hotson and Paul Spivey re-unite in the second row.

Director of Rugby Simon Amor has called for his side to show more consistency, starting this weekend.

Amor: "We set exceptionally high standards as a group at London Scottish and we fell well below these on Friday.

"Our performances to date at The Athletic Ground have been encouraging in parts although we have lacked consistency. We’ve scored some good tries although we need to find that consistency coupled with our continued progression in our defence."

"Most importantly, the team will look to play with passion and pride which is at the very heart of London Scottish."

London Scottish Ready To Face Nottingham

LONDON SCOTTISH lionLondon Scottish travel to Meadow Lane on Friday night for a mid table clash against Nottingham.

After coming on from the bench last Saturday, Scotland international Phil Godman makes his first start in a London Scottish squad. Also making his first start for the club is prop Colin Quigley.

Club captain Lewis Calder also makes a return in the back row.

London Scottish Ready To Face Doncaster Knights

LONDON SCOTTISH lionLondon Scottish return to The Athletic Ground and hopefully a return to winning ways this Saturday against Doncaster Knights.

Scotland international Phil Godman makes his first appearance in a London Scottish squad, taking his place on the bench, with Dan Mugford starting at fly half.

Centre PJ Gidlow will face his old side and is relishing the opportunity to take on former teammates.

Gidlow: “I’m looking forward to it, really looking forward to it and playing against them. It’s always nice to play against your mates and hopefully we will get a win at the end of it."
