Audis joins Knights

Knights Director of Rugby Brett Davey continues his recruitment drive theme of balance and versatility by signing a Scrum half who scored almost 90 points in National League One last season. This announcement is ahead of what could be a busy week as Davey looks to ramp up recuitment for the RFU Championship 2011-12 season.

Lee Audis, the first choice number 9 at Coventry joins Davey’s side after a successful campaign last season making 29 appearances for the ex Championship club scoring 89 points in the process.

Coming through the Academy setup at Bath and gaining professional status Audis went on to represent Cleve and Westcombe Park on his way to Championship Rugby with Doncaster. Lee was also capped at U16 level for England.

Noted for his pace as well as his box and goal kicking ability the 5’11” , 13st 7lb 21 year old is known to be strong on the ball and a player looking to develop his skills at every opportunity.

Brett Davey gave us these comments on the signing. “Lee has signed as a Scrum half to complement the abilities of Chris Hallam, as we look for a balance throughout the squad that gives us the options we need on the pitch . The fact he is a reliable goal kicker is an extra bonus, it does no harm to have all the bases covered during a game.” He continued “ A key part of this signing, as all of the signings this year, is that the player showed enthusiasm to play for Doncaster during our discussions”.
