De Villiers cleared for Munster

Springbok centre Jean de Villiers will join Munster next Thursday, subject to him completing the formalities of medical and fitness tests. De Villiers has received the necessary permissions from the South African Rugby Union and Western Province and is expected to join the squad by the weekend.

Munster coach, Tony McGahan said: “de Villiers is recognised as one of the top mid field rugby players in world rugby and I’m looking forward to having him in our squad. He brings a wealth of experience and a skill level that will benefit Munster on and off the field.”
