Plymouth Albion revert to familiar line-up
Plymouth Albion revert back to a more familiar looking line-up when Nottingham visit Brickfields on Saturday in the Championship (kick-off 3pm).
Albion used last week’s British & Irish Cup match to give some of their squad players a chance to impress.
However, only experienced flanker Wayne Sprangle and utility back Paul Bailey keep their starting places from last week’s defeat at Rotherham.
Fourth-placed Albion are able to welcome back scrum-half Paul Rowley for the first time in a month following injury, while Canadian international Aaron Carpenter also returns to Plymouth’s starting line-up.
Saturday’s game will see Albion coach Nat Saumi come up against his former Pirates team-mate Martin Haag, who is now coach at Nottingham.
Games between Albion and Nottingham at Brickfields have traditionally been close and Saumi expects the Green and Whites, who sit just one place above his side in the table, to offer a hard test.
"It will be a tough game," said Saumi.
But the Albion coach hopes his team can continue their unbeaten run at home in the Championship.
"We have got five league games before we have another break for the cup and it is important to try and start this period on a high at home," he said.
