Aye it was a shocking attempt at a chip thru from Rennie, alto he was by no means the worst of the Exe backline who resembled a revloving door in the second half. Think he'll go downhill at Briz, should have stayed with the Chiefs

IRB Special meeting a week today - May 15th - at which it looks odds on that the U20s will no longer be allowed to be classed as the next most senior international side.

Still a possibility that Shingler could be released under appeal to avoid him being orphaned by old legislation and open the IRB to legal challenge.

Looks like Rory Lawson and Beattie are going to be turning out for the Barbarians. I wonder if Lawson will tour this summer?

switchskier, i think that the way that the dates fall, if they are in the Baa-baas squad, it is highly unlikely that they will tour

How long until an appeal is lodged with the Sports arbitration council or whatever the next step is

I got a page not found error. The next step will depend on Shingler. As i see it he has three choices.
a) Give up and get on with his pro career accepting he'll never play international rugby.
b) Court of arbitration for sport. I doubt they'll over turn the IRB decision.
c) EU court of human rights. An altogether different matter if he has the stomach for it. They're known for flexing their muscle in the sporting arena.

And it should all be funded by the player himself.

Time for Scotland to move on. Those types of legal battles are costly and could be better used on othe SQP if they are interested - such as Maitland etc.
