He was my Grandads doctor for years and years and a very fine man.

What a player, I saw clips of him and Bleddyn Williams when Bleddyn Died and Jack Matthews was a BIG man in the centre. I doubt Wales or indeed rugby has seen a better centre pairing than those two. RIP Dr Jack.

A true giant of Welsh rugby. RIP.

Yep.
Another great player and character bows out.
Two in two weeks.
92. Not a bad knock, but very sad nonetheless.
RIP.

Not many men beat the AB's twice in a week but i believe Dr Jack and Bleddyn did with Wales then Cardiff.
RIP to a genuine Rugby legend

Dr. Jack and I once held the Welsh Premiership trophy together. That's the highlight of my rugby following life.

(not the trophy, natch).

Nos da to a proper, proper legend.

I followed a link on another thread, and saw that he fought Marciano as an amateur over four rounds, when Marciano was stationed in Wales during WWII.

Before my time (just), but a great player by all accounts.
