He's been sent off once in his career. He has picked up a few sin bins, he plays with a bit of aggression but I tend to think you need that in a rugby player. Sam Warburton and Jamie Heaslip are both regulars for their country despite having been sent off at international level (and Heaslip's was for something much more serious than Fritz's tackle on Varndell), I don't think that should be why he is left out.

Are you trying to tell me that Fritz is sometimes a victim of the refs ??

Fritz plays with agression, but not more than many others, he has the caractère needed. As far as he stays in the limits, which he very often does..

I was hesitating between Fritz and David, but AT is right, and I think we'd need some experience with Fofana. Fofana/David is probably the good bet for the combination in the near future..

I realise I haven't even mentionned Mermoz, that says a lot about the way I rate him...

Bastareaud's carrying was the main reason Wales lost in 2009, straight over Shanklin and destroyed Roberts too. It is a shame he has not got himself into optimum shape as he could have been one of the greats.

I don't think he's going to make a top class test 10, but he has the strength and creativity to make a great 2nd 5/8th type player imo
